Reminder of how lucky I am
By Meghan
Pull Me Through - I heard this song for the first time while recuperating from a miscarriage, the third lost baby in two years and the last pregnancy I knew I would ever have. At the time, my three-year-old son was playing with his toys on the floor with the sun hitting him on the top of his beautiful head and he looked up and smiled at me. For a crazy minute I thought the radio was singing words specifically aimed to comfort me. I have since bought the CD but still can't listen to that song without a few tears and a reminder how lucky I am to have this wonderful little boy in my life.
Your Lyrics Pull at my Bones
By Lara
I've been listing to the complete "Pull me Through" for the past 10 months (although the CD is long overdue to my local library) and Jim's lyrics just become more compelling each time I hear them. Your lyrics pull at my bones. Love you lots. Keep writing.
Beautiful, Sing Along Music
By Shawne
The best yet. I have always been a huge fan of Jim Cuddy/Blue Rodeo. This album has all of the elements of "Jim Cuddy" - meaning sweet, beautiful, sing along music that lets you close your eyes and just listen. Make sense? Sure does for me. Thanks Jim, for your beautiful music.
Song Support
by Sam
I play this CD more than anything else and I have hundreds. The song "Pull Me Through" has a strong sentimental value to me, since I played it while I was recuperating from breast cancer surgery and my husband tuned out (pun) on my condition. I am a survivor of 7 years and although my husband supported me for 30 years in many ways, and was able to pull me thru many traumatic times, it was the cancer that he couldn't accept and I regret not having his support at the time, so the song still resonates with me and I cry every time I listen to the lyrics. Keep up the good work.
Another Fan of "Pull Me Through"
by Neil
I stumbled across this song this morning, and all I could say after listening to it was "WOW". I've always felt that Jim is one of the best songwriters that I've ever heard. "Pull Me Through" not only confirms that thought, it galvanizes it. It's a song that you want to share with friends and family, especially those who are going through a hard time. Great song, Jim. Keep them coming.
"Terrific lyrics and melodies"
by Rick
This CD is nothing shy of fantastic. Bought the album for one song and, as usual, all the songs are fantastic. I am a basement musician and I play several Blue Rodeo songs and I have added several to my list from this album. Terrific lyrics and melodies. Looking forward to seeing a show. Success continues to follow you. Well done!
A New Fan
by Karin
I went to Canada last December, visiting my daughter in Saskatoon. On the Country Music Cannel I saw a special from Jim Cuddy and a performance of "Pull Me Through" and all the other songs from his CD The Light That Guides You Home. I was totally unfamiliar with Jim Cuddy or Blue Rodeo till that moment because I'm from Germany. The next day I bought this album, and I've become a fan overnight. Great songs ! Now I'm back in Germany and Jim Cuddy's CD is too. Thank you Jim Cuddy for this wonderful album.
An Excellent Christmas Present
by Catherine
I received your album as a Christmas gift from my daughter - also in the music business herself - so I know it came highly recommended. I have to say you did not disappoint. The CD is fantastic and has become part of my 'driving' routine as I commute back and forth to work each day. I find the production absolutely stunning - and your voice and songs, as always, incredible. Having been a fan for more years than I would care to admit, you are my favourite Canadian artist, and probably the most talented songwriter around.
Cover Art

Congratulations on producing such an amazing album. "Pull Me Through" and "She Gets Down" are my favourites. I would like to add that the music store in the album cover appears to be Rivington Guitars in New York City. Being a huge Hagstrom guitar fan, I recognized the blue Hagstrom I and the red Hagstrom II, above the Rickenbacher. Can't wait to hear your next album. Thanks.
A Review of "Pull Me Through"
by The Muskrat
I heard this song for the first time yesterday. My colleague lost his wife to cancer last week, at the incredibly young age of 29. Just before she died, the two of them had the opportunity to talk about her funeral, and she requested that the song "Pull Me Through" be printed in the program and played at the event. I wanted to thank Jim for writing such a wonderful song, which struck a chord in an amazing woman and kept her, and her friends and family, strong and positive through a very difficult time.
"... that harmonica, it's absolutely incredible."
by Andrea
Absolutely Mesmerizing! I have been a fan of Jim Cuddy's and Blue Rodeo since I was very young, so when his latest album came out, I knew it wouldn't disappoint. Jim is a lyrical genius! His music is all I listen to get me through the ups and downs. Whatever mood I'm in, I can count on any one of these songs make it all better. I have never heard a better album; the music is so eclectic and that harmonica, it's absolutely incredible. Jim, you did it again! Thank you for sharing your thoughts, your beautiful voice and music with us; you make Canada proud to call you ours.
"...I know all the words."
by MJ
I kept tabs on when this CD would be released and ran out to get it as soon as it was. I have been a fan of Jim`s for years. "Pull Me Through" showcases his talent and proves he feels what he sings. I play this CD so much I know all the words.
"I can't wait to see him..."
by Deborah
I was thrilled to hear that Jim had a new album. I absolutely love it and have been playing it in my SUV every day. I can't wait to see him in Saskatoon on November 4. This man is so talented and humble. Keep up the great work both writing the songs and touring to give us fans an opportunity to hear and see you pour your heart into every song. Regina, Sk. Fans !!!!!
"...classic Cuddy with a twist."
by Kelly
The Light That Guides You Home is classic Cuddy with a twist. Some songs provide that haunting feeling that most of the Blue Rodeo lead songs by Jim give. The twist here is the stronger rhythms and guitars not to mention the touch of piano. Songs like "Countrywide Soul" will stick with you in the back of your thoughts only to come forward when your moment connects with a moment Jim describes in the song. The combination of his music and words make for a snapshot of a life experience and that will always be more powerful than any old song. Keep doing what you're doing Jim, and we'll see you Winnipeg on the third.
"I like joining in with my guitar."
by Wendy
I couldn't wait to buy Jim's new CD at HMV in Kitchener. As soon as I heard his new song "The Light That Guides You Home," I knew that would be a number one song. Also; I love his other song, "Maybe Sometime," that is also out of this world. What I really mean to say, "I like all his new songs" and they are also out of this world. So much, I like joining in with my guitar. Well, I try anyways! I hope there will be a guitar book available soon? In the meantime, I can't wait till December 3 when I see him at Centre In The Square. His prior performances were always totally awesome! All The Best Jim.
